Review and comparison of Dream Arcades products.
Dream Arcades is a really amazing company that sales arcade cabinets. Dream Arcades have been featured on national TV, the New York Times, Playboy, Maxim, Redbook, IGN, and many other magazines, shows, and other media. You can check their site and all the products they offer at Dream Arcades. But you probably are reading this because you want to be told what they offer and how does it compare to other arcades manufactures.
If you have a particular arcade game that you loved as a kid then you are in luck because Dream Arcade probably has it. The cool thing about Dream Arcades is instead of shelling out thousands and thousands of dollars to get multiple games you get one machine that carries all the games you want with Dream Arcades you are only limited by the games you know you want. Dream Arcades can be a more affordable alternative to buying an old collectible machine. Some machines may even be rare and nearly impossible to find at any price. Lets say that you want to play the classic and hard to find Dragons Lair because of issues with the laser disc and having been retrofitted for other games it is hard to find this and many people loved it and it is historically significant causing it to sale for tons of money Dream Arcades sales a whole package of all the Dragons Lair games and even includes Space Ace and these are legal legitimate copies. Or say you want to try the first arcade game Computer Space well good luck trying to find it and if you do you will need a mortgage to buy it. But with Dream Arcades you can have what would amount to hundreds of thousands even millions of dollars worth of games. A dream Arcades cabinet also does not take up as much room as all the arcades you would have to get to get there games. While it might not have the same fill and look as the old cabinet you grew-up playing any true gamer knows that no two arcades have the same fill and unless you can go back to your old arcade of yesteryears you never will be able to have that same fill though if you want to spend the money you can get the look.
How does Dream Arcades stack up against the competitors who also offer similar arcade cabinets? They actually do quiet well. Compared to a competitor that sales in Costco, and Target they are cheaper, offer more games, and unlike many others you can add games once you buy instead of facing proprietary software that will not allow any games added and does not have the space. The one downfall Dream Arcades had was that they were made to be inexpensive not fancy. They were made to be the arcade for the everyman so they did not have all the bells and whistles other arcades had. However they have been continually adding to their line of features and are starting to catch up in this field.
What kind of products do they have? Well that is another area Dream Arcades does better then competitors. They do not offer just one single arcade cabinet. They have many cabinets and even some special ones no one else has. They have traditional standup cabinets, and cocktail tables. They offer guns with gun games, and spinners, and other peripherals that will allow you to play games you wouldn't be able to without like Disc of Tron. They have two to four player options. For the cocktail they have head to head or side to side the head to head is more for older games and gamers with the side to side being popular with younger gamers from the 90's on. They also offer different size cabinets from the smaller cabinets for those with space restrictions to larger bigger screen cabinets for those who want the best. They even have some special cabinets such as one that was at the CES show in the Canon exhibit that features a projector and holds the record for the largest video game screen. They even have a new special one coming out for the Christmas season that is top secret.
While Dream Arcades might not be as fancy as some of the other arcades they are cheaper and in many ways offer more. They may not be as cool looking as those old game you spent your childhood fortunes on they are cheaper and easier to find. Dream Arcades may not be for everyone but they are not made to be they are made to be the arcade for the people.
