Are you looking to buy one of the new generation consoles? If you are, then you're probably stuck between two choices. The PS3, and the XBox360. I for one have been a Sony supporter since the first release of the first PlayStation, so this decesion was a no brainer for me. People all over the country are stuck trying to make this decesion. In my opinion, the PS3 is better than the 360. One reason is because the PS3 in the long run would be cheaper. Right now, the basic Xbox360 costs $199. This consists of the original white 360 with a 60GB hard drive. Most of the time, people buy the 360 because of its famous Xbox live. The fact is, it will cost you just to play it. Chances are, you want to play wireless with a router, so you wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of hooking up the cabels to your 360 at your modem. So, you'd have to go out and buy a $100 wireless router.
Then, you'll have to pay a subscription fee, which for a year will cost $50. Now for the PS3, it will cost $399 with a 80GB hard drive. PS3's "Live" is the Playstation Network, and it's absoulutely free to create an online account, saving you $50 every year. In addition to that, it has a build it wireless adapter, which saves you another $100. Sure, the regular retail price of both systems are $200 apart, and it's easy to be mislead. In reality, the Xbox is $350, plus $50 every year, while the PS3 has 20GB of more memory, and no "hidden" fees. So in the long run, buying a PS3 won't start leaving a hole in your wallet over time, while the Xbox360 will. In these troubeling times, it's only common sense to buy yourself the Sony PS3.
