Why the Playstation 3 is a Great Deal

Since its launch in March 2008, the Playstation 3 has faced stiff competition from other consoles. This is to prove the PS3 is the most worthwhile and best system.

  1. Playstation Network

Xbox 1 has a huge advantage, and that ability was to play online in a unified service. Sony took a page from Microsoft's book and launched this service, The Playstation Network, where you can play online, unlike Xbox Live, for free. There is also a store, similar to Xbox Live Marketplace, meaning the Playstation Network is a great competitor to Xbox Live. Whilst not as connective as XBL, future updates to fireware will allow the growth of PSN.

  2. Blu-Ray Disc

It's all about high definition, and with Blu-Ray disc, which a double layer can hold up to 50 GB, DVD-DL, which the Xbox 360 uses, can hold up to 16GB. This not only allows movies to be shot in High definition, it can also now be stored on a disc. This also allows developers more space . An recent example is Metal Gear Solid 4, which has had data compressed to fit on 1 50GB Blu-Ray

  3. Bluetooth

Bluetooth is the secret behind the Motion-Sensitive SIXAXIS and DUALSHOCK® 3 controllers. It can also be used to pair up and wireless Bluetooth headset, to use during play. Keyboard and other peripherals (eg Guitar Hero Guitar) have been released using Bluetooth technology.

  4. More Reliable

The Xbox's Ring Of Death problem has outraged many owners. The PS3 has no problems with overheating so far, and will remain the most reliable console, with its 0.2% failure rate.
