Here are step-by-step guidelines:
- Before the PS2 is turned on, put the Swap Magic DVD disc into it.
- Turn on the PS2.
- Let the Swap Magic disc spin up, load, and get to a screen that says Load Program, with a slow blinking background. Make sure that the disc has stopped spinning, you will be able to hear it if it is still spinning.
- Take out the Swap Magic disc, and put in your backup game.
- Close the lid, and on the controller press X. The backup will load up just as an original game would.
Just a couple things to know:
- Use the Swap Magic DVD disc for games that are over 700 Megabytes, or, simpler, any burned game that is burned onto a DVD disc.
- Use the Swap Magic CD with games that are less than 700 Megabytes, or any game that is burned onto a CD disc.
- If you want to switch games, then you must hold the power button to shut the system off, then restart the process stated above.
- Never use the reset feature, as it will try to load the backup, and it won't work, it wont do anything bad to the PS2. But if you were to press reset, then open the lid, the laser goes through the disc, and it is exposed to natural light, which will cause problems.
With God of War, when you are a few hours into the game, there are a 2 spots where when playing, the word ?Loading? will pop up on the bottom right of the screen. If it stays there for more than 1 minute, just let the game work for about 5 minutes, and it will go through. It will continue and let you play through the rest of the game.
