PSP And DevHook

Where you'll learn what a PSP is if you don't know (Not Likely) and how to use DevHook

The PSP is a very good handheld in the marketing industry today. Not only can you play games but you can also play videos, you can listen to music, and also there’s this helpful WiFi feature (It’s also called “Internet” For those who don’t know)

Some people wonder why we downgrade to 1.5, it’s not idiotic it’s more like genius; you are able to run homebrew games and applications; however there is a downside… Sony doesn’t like you downgrading and using homebrew, but it’s perfectly legal. Note: Do not use ISO’s those are only for game backups and for people who OWN THE GAME, so therefore I don’t recommend you use them.

Now for the thing you have been waiting for, the tutorial for DevHook!

DevHook also means Device Hook, DevHook is used as a short form. Some of you are wondering why people use device hook, but actually it’s useful. Since people with 1.50 Firmware don’t like upgrading Sony makes it so you have to upgrade your firmware to play such UMDs for example, in order to play Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories you will need 2.60 firmware.

Some people with 1.50 firmware are probably saying, “NOOOOOOOO!!” But wait, save your screams ( and tears for the gentle ones =P) All you need to do is download devhook that supports emulation for your firmware. In this case of GTA: Liberty City Stories, we will need a devhook that emulates 2.60 or above.

Once you have downloaded devhook you will see something called “Firmware” NOTE: The O Button is used to select and the /\ is used to go back. Once you have picked your firmware you will need to press “Start DevHook” Your psp will now be the firmware you have chosen once you look at your system version you will not see 1.50 but the firmware you chosen, and you’ll freak out, but don’t.. Devhook only emulates, it doesn’t actually mess your REAL Firmware, it just emulates it, just turn off your psp, turn it on again, and Boom your PSP is back to its 1.50 Beauty (Or the firmware you started with =] )
