How to Clean a DS Lite and Keep It That Way

How to clean a DS Lite and how to prevent if from getting dirty again.

  1. Do not, Not, NOT, put it in a black fuzzy pouch. The fuzzy stuff will come off in between the DS Lite and the clear thing around it. This looks terrible. This is hard to remove.
  2. If you have dirt in between the DS Lite and the clear thing, get a toothpick and wedge it in there, then pull it along getting all the dirt together. Then pull up, getting up as much dirt as possible. If the toothpick breaks, get a new one. Other sharp object would work too!
  3. Do not play it when your hands are greasy or dirty. This will result in the infamous yellow buttons. Wash your hand before you play to keep it white. This can also be fixed.
  4. If you have those gross yellow buttons on your white DS Lite, get a tissue and put a little bit of bleach on it. Then rub the buttons in a circular motion. Ta Da! All white again!
  5. Buy a pair of glasses or something and get the soft cloth. You can use this to wipe of your DS Lite without scratching it.
  6. Buy screen protectors, even if you don't think you will scratch the screen. This keeps the screen nice and clean. When the protector gets dirty, just peal it off and put a new one on.
  7. If your screen is dirty, just put a little bit of glass cleaner on a tissue and rub in a circular motion
  8. To prevent from dropping it on the ground, you can put a string or lanyard through those two little holes on the top. You could put it around your wrist, but it would be better around your neck.
  9. If you dropped your DS Lite on the ground, chances are you cracked the hinge. You need to fix this fast or the DS Lite will break where the screens are connected! Get a little bit of superglue and put it over the crack.

Well, that's the end of things to do to clean it, and keep it that way. I hope your Nintendo DS Lite is clean and protected now.
