Getting Hooked on Nintendo DS

An article about liking the Nintendo DS portable video game system.

Sometimes when you first hear or learn of a new product, you might not pay too much attention to it at the time. But all that could change after using that particular product for a while.

That's what occurred to me when the Nintendo DS first came out. I saw the television ads, read about how great a portable video game system it is in magazines, articles and on the internet and wondered what was all the fuss about.

After all, I have played the gameboy, the gameboy colour, the gameboy advance, and granted, each system came with improvements that the previous system did not have. So out of curiosity I thought I would see what the Nintendo DS was all about.

Was I in for a pleasant surprise. And if you are a fan of the Legend of Zelda video games, this could make it all the more worthwhile. For the portable Nintendo DS delivers amazing graphics, sound and even comes with a built in microphone that you, the avid video gamer can use in certain games like Zelda Phantom Hourglass.

What's even better is the system's backward capability. Now if I want to play a GBA game, I don't have to go hunting for my GBA system. For you can play those right here on the Nintendo DS.

Now I like the Nintendo DS so much that it is sometimes difficult for me stop playing a game on it. I want to take it everywhere I go and if I happen to have a few minutes to spare, I turn it on and become involved in a game. Be it a GBA game or a Nintendo DS one, the Nintendo DS has proven to be a great portable video game system.
