Alright I got tired of having my video games scratched and broken so I decided to find a way to play it on my computer. These are called ROMs and Emulators. ROMs are the virtual memory inside your game cartridge and the emulator is basically something that will open that read only memory in an image.
So what you first want is an emulator. Some links for emulators are:

Emultra is a great website for roms. They offer all different kinds of roms from NES to ps1. The only setback is that their rom cache mostly just includes the most popular games, but either way this is the easiest way to download.
DGemu is another great rom site. It offers the widest selection of games, such as Game boy advance, Nintendo Ds, N64. I think this website has the largest selection of roms they recently upgraded to a larger server because their old one was filled up with roms. You will find EVERYTHING you need here.
The one problem with this website is that you cannot just keep on downloading they give you a certain amount of download points every day 12.5 in fact. These download points reset everyday so you cannot skip a few days and load up. A game is worth a certain amount of points depending on its size so a game of 3MB will be 3 DP. There are a few ways to gain more DPs one of them being to be active in the forums this will give you GP's which you can convert into Dp's using a converter system. Next if you write a 5 star game review they website will give you 10 Dp's.
They have an RPG game which if you play you can gain extra Gp's. Lastly if you donate money they give you a load of Dp's in return. The Dp's that you get from donating and the Dps from the game reviews will not reset every night so you do not have to worry about losing Download points. The GP's that you get from questing and using the forums you can either convert into more, resetable DP's or fewer permanent until use DP's.
Coolrom is a great download site for the classics varying from NES SEGA SNES and more. Here you do not need an account to download.
You should only use these if you have the official game cartridge.
