Well, to help you, why not go through the advantages and disadvantages for each?
Sony PlayStation 3:
The Good:
Blu-ray player, 1st system to have HDMI 1.3, Bluetooth 2.0, expandable hard drive,
revolutionary six-axis controller, Ethernet port, built in wi-fi, 4 USB 2.0, memory card readers, can play CD's, SA CD's, DVD's, blu-ray disc, PS2 and PS1 games, and available silver chrome trim, digital media hub.
The Bad:
HDMI cable NOT included, no USB on the back, no external power supply, no Infrared receiver.
Xbox 360:
The Good:
Great online play, High Def graphics, digital media hub, 3 controller ports, wireless controllers,
USB ports.
The Bad:
Rumors of overheating, small hard drive, oversized power supply, need to buy HD DVD player to play DVD's
(200 dollars!)
Nintendo Wii:
The good:
Built in wi-fi, access to 20 years in Nintendo's past, SD card reader, revolutionary motion
sensitive controllers, plays GameCube games, fun for everyone.
The bad:
Small hard drive, lacks graphic power, can't play CD's or DVD's, controller needs batteries.
It looks like PS3 has the most good and the least bad things about it, but if you like something else, that's completely fine.
1. Almost no good games
2. Blu-ray is set to fail
It really seems that you're focusing on the hardware more than the software, which pretty much makes up the console.
