10 Reasons Why Wii is Better Than the Ps3

If you need convincing, here it is.

  1. The Wii is cheaper
  2. You can't get hassled for playing the Wii all day because you are moving
  3. The Wii doesn't force a new controller on you for most games
  4. The Wii has Super Smash Bros. Brawl, simple, right.
  5. The Wii controller is highly adaptable for many different kinds of game play
  6. You can use it to not only play your friends over the internet, but also to surf the web
  7. No matter what it comes with a game
  8. It is largely group oriented
  9. The Wii can use old controllers
  10. The Wii has 4 controller slots instead of 2

You want proof? Try buying a Wii in a store. Ya, I thought so.

C\'mon... Your list is so off it\'s embarrassing.

1 - true
2 - not going to happen
3 - false - wii has more controllers, way more
4 - true, but not a real reason
5 - true
6 - err, PS3 does that and it\'s even free unlike Wii
7 - like PS3\'s don\'t?
8 - It\'s PARTY oriented
9 - PS3 can use old controllers
10 - PS3 has also four wireless controller slots

So, 3 true out of 10 and stumbling this sh1t.

Flawed list, mostly wrong, do some research...

Ten reasons why the PS3 is better than the Wii

1) It doesn't have mostly party games
2) It can play movies
3) It can play music
4) Your friends have names!
5) You can customise the OS
6) You can install a different OS out-of-the-box
7) It has a big hard drive and you can add a bigger one (if you please)
8) Remote play & media streaming
9) You can voice and video chat with other users
10) It runs at 1080p

of the top of my head...

Here's my opinion on your Top 10 Reasons List:

1. Very true. Possibly the best reason to own a Wii - the price.
2. You get exercise by playing games such as Wii Fit and Wii Sports.
3. I agree to a point. For games not compatible with the Wii Remote, you can use your old Gamecube controller.
4. I agree. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is, aside from Galaxy and Super Paper Mario, one of the main reasons to buy a Wii.
5. I agree again. Many games for Wii have multiple controller option settings (i.e. Wii Remote with Nunchuk, Wii Remote on its side, etc.)
6. I find it hard to surf on my Wii's Opera browser, but the fact it can do it is pretty awesome. Same goes for multiplayer.
7. You're right. Wii Sports is packaged in with every Wii.
8. Very true. The Wii appeals to a much larger audience than the PS3 or X-Box 360, especially with Animal Crossing: City Folk grabbing the female market.
9. True. Gamecube games work well on the Wii. I just recently sold my Gamecube because of this (and kept 2 controllers too).
10. Sort of irrelavent comment. All systems nowadays have 4 controller slots.

Overall, I liked the article. To counter some of the other comments posted here...

RetardoManKiller: In case you haven't noticed, the Wii's online capabilities are FREE. The only thing you need to purchase is the online Opera browser (which is a mere one-time $20 cost). In fact, I believe Nintendo had a promotion a while back offering a free browser for their system.

Celina Nunes: As far as I'm concerned, the PS3 fails miserably in the fact that it shows Sony's desire for money. With the Wii, there's only 1 Wii - it's simple and straightforward. With the X-Box 360 and PS3, there are various models, each with a larger hard drive and a different price. For someone who just wants to get into a game quickly and easily, Wii wins hands down.

Bobby Greene: Just because you hate Nintendo doesn't mean that the article is "pwned." Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

James Hubert: Instead of bashing the article by repeating the word "flawed" over and over again, offer your own Top 10 Reasons.

Jenny Haze: If you don't like Nintendo, don't post a comment.

Greg: Yes, thanks a lot for bashing Gameolosophy (by the way, you could at least have the decency to spell the site's name properly). It's not like we have a choice where Triond posts our gaming articles, and by telling people to avoid this site entirely, all you are doing is making it harder for other people who submit gaming-related topics to Triond, such as yours truly, to make money and attract visitors.
